How to store solar high temperature adhesive tape in low temperature season?
The core of solar high-temperature adhesive tape storage in low temperature season is to control temperature and prevent brittleness, control humidity and moisture, avoid light and prevent aging, standardize storage and rewarming, and ensure the stability of adhesive layer viscosity and substrate performance. The specific methods are as follows:
First, accurate control of environmental temperature and humidity
Temperature control: the core storage temperature shall be kept at 15-25℃, and the minimum temperature shall not be lower than 5℃, so as to avoid the extreme low temperature below 0℃, and prevent the adhesive layer from hardening, the base material from becoming brittle, and from unwinding and breaking easily. When there is no constant temperature warehouse, thermal insulation curtain and electric heater can be installed around the shelf (avoiding direct blowing), or an incubator+baby warmer (controlling temperature) can be used for temporary storage.
Humidity control: the relative humidity is maintained at 40%-60%. If it is too high, the adhesive tape will be hygroscopic, deformed and moldy; if it is too low, the adhesive layer will be dry and sticky. A dehumidifier or silica gel desiccant can be placed in the warehouse, and the hygrometer should be checked regularly and the desiccant should be replaced.
Environmental isolation: stay away from heat sources, open flames, acids, bases and organic solvents to avoid chemical pollution and temperature fluctuations; Keep the warehouse ventilated, and change air twice per hour or more to prevent the accumulation of humid air.
Second, the packaging and storage mode specification
Storage intact: the unopened adhesive tape keeps its original packaging (moisture and dust proof), and it is sealed with a self-sealing bag after unsealing to reduce contact with the outside air.
Reasonable stacking: roll vertically, avoid folding and squeezing, and prevent tape deformation and adhesive layer adhesion; Different specifications and models are stored in different categories and turned regularly (quarterly) to avoid damage to the adhesive layer caused by long-term heavy pressure.
Protection from light: The adhesive tape should be stored away from light, avoid direct sunlight and ultraviolet radiation, and prevent the base material and adhesive layer from aging and degradation. You can stick a shading film on the warehouse window or cover the shelf with shading cloth.
Iii. Key points for transportation and warming
Transportation protection: In low-temperature season, transportation should be packed with heat preservation box and heat preservation cotton, so as to prevent the adhesive tape from being exposed to the environment below-5℃ and prevent the adhesive layer from freezing.
Warming treatment: If the adhesive tape is frozen or kept at low temperature for a long time, it should be placed in an environment around 20℃ for 24-48 hours to gradually warm up before use. It is forbidden to bake at high temperature to quickly raise the temperature to avoid damage to the performance of the adhesive layer and substrate.
On-site preheating: If the ambient temperature is low during use, it can be placed at 20-40℃ for 30-40 minutes, or the adhesive surface can be lightly blown with a hot air blower at 40-50℃ to restore the adhesive layer's viscosity before construction.
Fourth, regular inspection and shelf life management
Regular inspection: check the appearance of the tape every week to see if there are any problems such as cracking, adhesion and mildew, and isolate it in time if it is abnormal.
First-in, first-out: Store according to the production date, and give priority to the tape that has been in stock for a long time, so as to ensure its use within the warranty period and avoid performance degradation caused by long-term storage.
