How is the battery energy storage tape stored?

The storage of battery energy storage tape needs to consider its material characteristics and use requirements to ensure that the performance of the tape is not affected. The following are the main points of battery energy storage tape storage:

environmental conditions

Temperature: Generally speaking, the battery energy storage tape should be stored in an environment with a temperature of 10℃-30℃. Too high temperature may lead to the softening of the glue of the tape and the phenomenon of glue overflow, and may also accelerate the aging of the tape material; If the temperature is too low, the adhesive tape may become hard and brittle, which will affect its viscosity and flexibility.

Humidity: The relative humidity of the storage environment should be kept at 40%-60%. Too high humidity is easy to condense water vapor on the surface of the tape, which leads to adhesion and mildew of the tape and affects its performance and service life. If the humidity is too low, the water in the tape may be excessively lost, which will also make the tape brittle and reduce the viscosity.

Ventilation: The storage place should be well ventilated to avoid the tape being kept in a closed and non-circulating environment for a long time. Good ventilation helps to emit volatile gases that may be generated, prevent gas accumulation from affecting the performance of the tape, and also reduce the possibility of mold breeding.

Lighting: The battery energy storage tape should avoid direct sunlight and strong ultraviolet radiation. Ultraviolet rays will accelerate the aging of the adhesive tape material, reduce the viscosity of the adhesive tape, make the substrate brittle and shorten the service life of the adhesive tape. Therefore, it is best to store the tape in a dark warehouse or cover it with shading materials.

Storage mode

Packaging integrity: The original packaging of the adhesive tape should be kept intact as far as possible during storage, and the packaging should not be opened at will. The original packaging can provide some protection for the adhesive tape to prevent dust and impurities from polluting the surface of the adhesive tape, and at the same time, it can also reduce the direct contact between the adhesive tape and the external environment and maintain the stability of the adhesive tape performance.

Flat or hanging: if it is a rolled battery energy storage tape, you can choose to store it flat or hanging. When laying flat, it is necessary to ensure that there is a certain isolation between the tape roll and the ground or other supporting surfaces to prevent moisture; When hanging, appropriate hanging devices should be used to avoid the deformation of the tape roll, and at the same time, attention should be paid to the hanging height for easy access and management.

Avoid squeezing: The adhesive tape should be avoided from being squeezed by heavy objects during storage, so as to avoid deformation of the tape roll, glue extrusion or viscosity damage. The tapes of different specifications and models should be classified and stored, and the stacking height should not be too high, generally no more than five layers, in order to prevent the lower tape from being subjected to excessive pressure.

Periodic inspection

Inspection cycle: It is recommended to inspect the stored battery energy storage tape at regular intervals (such as one month or three months). Timely find out whether there are problems such as deterioration, viscosity decline and appearance damage of the tape, so as to take corresponding measures.

Recording and processing: record the results of each inspection in detail, including the appearance of the tape, the viscosity test, the temperature and humidity of the storage environment and other information. For the tapes with problems found, it is necessary to deal with them in time, such as isolating the deteriorated or degraded tapes, scrapping them or other appropriate treatments to prevent them from being mixed with the tapes in normal use.
